Eclectic Productions shoots the stunning productions at Houston Grand Opera, and we usually cut some highlights from the show and release them to the area TV stations and put them on HGO’s YouTube channel. Since Showboat has such a broad appeal, even beyond a normal opera going crowd, they thought they’d produce some audience reaction spots to reach folks that might like to come sample opera via the crossover appeal of music and dance sometimes associated with broadway musicals. We just shot some simple lobby interviews, just like a Hollywood movie commercial. Blended the short bites in with the clips we shot that night, and they were able to send this out in targeted emails within a day!
